La administración de la Independencia estará a cargo de un Intendente, de libre nombramiento y remoción del Poder Ejecutivo, de quien dependerá directamente, y cuyas funciones serán las mismas que hoy tienen los Gobernadores, más las que el Gobierno Nacional tenga a bien asignarle en la reglamentación de la presente Ley.
