Las instituciones de educación no formal podrán ofrecer además, programas de educación informal que tienen como objetivo ofrecer oportunidades para adquirir, perfeccionar, renovar o profundizar conocimientos, habilidades, técnicas y practicas. Hacen parte de esta oferta educativa aquellos programas con duración no superior a ciento sesenta (160) horas. Su organización y ejecución no requieren de autorización previa por parte de las Secretarías de Educación Departamentales y Distritales.
