Artículo octavo. Se entiende por acaparamiento la adquisición y retención de víveres, géneros, mercancías o efectos destinados al expendio o a la no venta de los mismos, por parte de cualquier persona, natural o jurídica, que no se justifiquen a juicio de las autoridades competentes, y que produzca un aumento injustificado en su precio.
