ARTICULO 147 . JEFE DEL CUERPO DE CUSTODIA Y VIGILANCIA PENITENCIARIA NACIONAL. El nombramiento del Subdirector del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria y Carcelaria Nacional, recaerá en uno de los oficiales con el grado de Comandante Superior, escogido libremente por el Director General del Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario, INPEC. En caso de no haber Oficial en este grado, el Director General del Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario, INPEC, podrá designar libremente para este cargo, a uno de los Oficiales con el grado de Mayor y si no lo hubiere, entonces en el grado de Capitán del Cuerpo de Custodia y Vigilancia Penitenciaria Nacional.
