El sistema de drenaje de la mina deberá tener un mantenimiento periódico que garantice su normal funcionamiento. Las cunetas deben ser revestidas en piedra pegada o mortero de cemento y arena, cuando la pendiente sea mayor del tres por ciento (3%) con el fin de evitar la erosión hídrica del piso del banco.
