El sobrante de los fondos del Montepío Militar, después de cubiertas las pensiones capitalizadas de que se habló anteriormente, pertenece á la institución, así como también todas las cantidades ó valores de propiedad de los contribuyentes que por cualquier motivo no se cobraren.
