Art. 1813. El marido no podrá dar en arriendo los predios rústicos de la mujer por más de ocho años, ni los urbanos por más de cinco; i ella sus herederos, disuelta la sociedad, estarán obligados al cumplimiento del contrato de arrendamiento que se le haya estipulado por un espacio de tiempo que no pase de los límites aquí señalados.

Sinembargo, el arrendamiento podrá durar más tiempo, si así lo hubieren estipulado el marido i la mujer de consuno, i podrá suplirse por el Juez o Prefecto la intervención de la mujer cuando esta se hallare imposibilitada de prestarla.
