Cuando se promuevan juicios ó diligencias judiciales ó administrativas en que esté interesado algún leproso, el Juez ó el funcionario que conozca del asunto citará al Personero del respectivo lazareto para que se constituya parte y reciba instrucciones del demandado, si éste no nombra apoderado, y si lo nombra, el poder, como queda previsto, se otorgará ante el Notario, y de la diligencia se dará aviso al Personero para que lo transmita al apoderado.
