De conformidad con lo dispuesto por el artículo 23 de la Ley 3ª de 1961, la Comisión de Aguas de la Sabana de Bogotá, creada por medio del Decreto Legislativo No. 173 de 1958, dejará de existir un mes después de la instalación de la Junta Directiva de la Corporación Autónoma Regional de la Sabana de Bogotá y de los Valles de Ubaté y Chiquinquirá, y todo su patrimonio incluyendo fondos, valores y bienes muebles e inmuebles, pasará a hacer parte de la mencionada Corporación.
