Las licencias que se expidan tiene validez por un año, y para renovarlas el interesado deberá someterse a un nuevo examen médico; y si hubiere estado ausente del puerto en la época inmediatamente anterior a la renovación de la cédula., deberá acompañar de nuevo el certificado de buena conducta. La expedición de las cédulas y certificados se hará en papel común y no ocasionará impuesto ni derechos de ninguna clase.
