La junta encargada de los fondos del centenario entregará al Ilustrísimo señor Obispo de Santa Marta la suma de diez mil pesos ($10,000), con destino a la obra del altar mayor de la Catedral de esa ciudad; y de acuerdo con el mismo Prelado, apropiará las partidas necesarias para erigir en dicho templo el monumento en que deban depositarse los restos de Bastidas, y un busto de fray Tomás Ortiz, primer Obispo de la Diócesis de Santa Marta.
