La Nación construirá en Bogotá el nuevo Palacio para residencia de los Presidentes de Colombia, aprovechando para ello el sitio ocupado actualmente por el edificio llamado Palacio de la Carrera, y las zonas adyacentes de propiedad particular, comprendidas entre las carreras séptima y octava, así como las demás que juzgue necesarias.
