Para atender a los gastos que fuere necesario realizar para el mantenimiento y conservación de las obras durante el periodo de su explotación, el Gobierno podrá liquidar y recaudar una cuota destinada exclusivamente a sufragarlos, mediante una tasación proporcional entre los dueños de las propiedades beneficiadas.

Estos dineros se recaudarán simultáneamente con los gravámenes de valorización, mientras éstos estén vigentes, de conformidad con lo dispuesto por el Decreto número 1756 de 1940.
