Año de servicio cumplido o continuo. Se entiende como año cumplido de servicio el contado a partir de la fecha de ingreso del individuo al escalafón de oficiales y suboficiales, hasta la misma fecha del año siguiente.

Parágrafo 1

Para los efectos de este Artículo, se computarán los lapsos servidos como empleado civil del ramo de Defensa con anterioridad al escalafonamiento, sin solución de continuidad.

Parágrafo 2

No se considerarán como de servicio los lapsos en que el oficial o suboficial se encuentren en la situación de separación temporal previsto en el Artículo 121 del Decreto 612 de 1977.
