La Comisión Profesional Colombiana de Diseño Industrial, en cumplimiento de la función atribuida por el numeral 5º del artículo 8º de la Ley 157 de 1994, podrá de oficio o a solicitud de terceros, conocer de la denuncia y sancionar con la suspensión temporal o con cancelación definitiva de la tarjeta profesional a quien encuentre responsable de la falta grave contra la ética profesional en el ejercicio de la profesión de Diseñador Industrial de conformidad con el Código de Etica de la profesión que se dicte de acuerdo con el artículo 6º del presente Decreto.
