Oficiales en actividad son aquellos que desempeñan funciones en las Unidades y dependencias de la Armada, y cargos especiales que determine el Gobierno, de acuerdo con lo establecido en la presente Ley y en los Reglamentos Navales. Tendrán la siguiente clasificación y escalonamiento:

Oficiales Efectivos (A.R.C.)

Oficiales Auxiliares (A.R.C.-A.)

Oficiales de Clases (A.R.C.-C.).
