Será de competencia del Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo y del Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, coordinar el ejercicio de las actividades turísticas en las áreas naturales protegidas; las regulaciones o limitaciones de uso por parte de los turistas; la fijación y cobro de tarifas por el ingreso, y demás aspectos relacionados con las áreas naturales protegidas.

El Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo deberá sujetarse a los planes de manejo ambiental de las áreas naturales protegidas, determinadas por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible.
