° Para tener derecho al Premio Nacional de Ingeniería se requiere
Ser colombiano y estar domiciliado en el país;
Estar matriculado como ingeniero de acuerdo con las disposiciones que reglamentan el ejercicio de la profesión de ingeniería;
Haber proyectado o terminado como jefe, dentro del país en el año inmediatamente, la obra material de mayor mérito científico y técnico, a juicio de la Sociedad Colombiana de Ingenieros.
