El Prefecto y los funcionarios competentes de la Prefectura adelantarán las pesquisas, averiguaciones y demás diligencias a que se refiere el artículo anterior y cumplirán las otras funciones contempladas en dicha norma. El Prefecto podrá conferir comisiones a funcionarios de las Ramas Judicial o Ejecutiva para el adelantamiento de averiguaciones o la práctica de diligencias y pruebas. Dichos funcionarios tendrán las facultades que en el acto de comisión se les confiere. En todo caso, corresponde al Prefecto imponer las multas previstas en el artículo 220.
