Si a tiempo de decidir sobre la ubicación de un producto determinado, hubiere discrepancia en cuanto al nombre que se use en Colombia y el de las ordenaciones a que se refiere el artículo anterior, la División de Propiedad Industrial de la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio consultará la Academia Colombiana de la Lengua o la entidad pública que a juicio de la División posea instrumentos adecuados para proceder a la precisa calificación del término cuyo significado no haya sido posible establecer.
