Del producto integro de los impuestos de explotación de hidrocarburos, corresponde en razón de los yacimientos o depósitos que se encuentren en sus respectivos territorios, al Departamento, el treinta por ciento (30%), y al Municipio, el cinco por ciento (5%). El resto pertenece a la Nación.

Semestralmente se hará por la Tesorería General de la República la respectiva liquidación y se entregarán a las entidades departamentales y municipales las cuotas que les correspondan.
