La presente Convención regirá indefinidamente, pero cualquiera de los Estados Partes podrá denunciarla. El instrumento de denuncia será depositado en la Secretaría General de la Organización de los Estados Americanos. Transcurrido un año, contado a partir de la fecha de depósito del instrumento de denuncia, la Convención cesará en sus efectos para el Estado denunciante y permanecerá en vigor para los demás Estados Partes.
