El Ministerio de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural vigilará el sistema de manejo de los libros genealógicos oficiales y certificaciones de animales nacidos en el país o importados. Para este efecto, podrá practicar visitas a las diferentes asociaciones con el fin de examinar y evaluar los procedimientos utilizados en el manejo de la información correspondiente a los ejemplares de razas puras, y recomendará los ajustes que se estimen pertinentes.
