Art. 6.° En la Escuela habrá tantos alumnos becados cuantos correspondan á dos por cada compañía de batallón de que consta el Ejército permanente. La elección de estos alumnos se hará por el Gobierno á propuesta en terna del Comandante general y del Jefe de Estado Mayor de la División, quienes procederán en la presentación de aquella, de acuerdo con los reglamentos que dicte el mismo Gobierno.
