°. Delegaciones. El Servicio podrá, mediante acuerdo de la Junta Directiva, aprobado con el voto favorable de su Presidente, delegar en otras entidades descentralizadas territorialmente o por servicios el cumplimiento de alguna de sus funciones cuando considere que tal delegación es conveniente para asegurar la eficaz ejecución de sus actividades o para impedir la interrupción de servicios que presten otras instituciones que, eventualmente, desempeñen funciones similares a las del Servicio.

Parágrafo

Las funciones atribuidas al Servicio en virtud del Decreto 2420 del 68, y que venían siendo desempeñadas por otras instituciones, seguirán siendo ejercidas por éstas, hasta tanto el Servicio manifieste que está en capacidad de asumirlas.
