Cuando el término a que se refiere el artículo anterior resultare insuficiente para practicar las pruebas solicitadas, podrá el Consejo disponer de oficio o a petición de parte, la ampliación del mismo por diez (10) días más.

Parágrafo

La ampliación de la etapa probatoria a que se refiere el presente artículo sólo podrá ordenarse por una sola vez cuando a juicio del Consejo Profesional Nacional de Ingeniería y Arquitectura se haga necesario tomar tal determinación.
