Dentro del mes de enero de cada año, los Alcaldes remitirán al Notario 1º del respectivo territorio, los libros de registro del estado civil, usados en el año- inme diatamente anterior. Los Cónsules los remitirán al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, para que este, a su vez, los haga llegar al N otario 1º de la capital de la Republica. Al pie de la ultima acta de registro extenderá el funcionario respectivo una constancia, en que se exprese el numero de actas registradas,
