Duración. La condición de terminal portuario nuevo para efectos del ejercicio de la actividad marítima y fluvial de practicaje se mantendrá hasta cinco (5) años después de la entrada del primer buque de más de 2.000 TRB, al terminal. Una vez cumplido el término de cinco (5) años tendrá igual tratamiento a los demás terminales del país.
