La Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro organizará la vigilancia y demás funciones que por el Decreto-ley 1260 de 1970 y por este Decreto se le asignan en relación con el registro del estado civil, y formará y administrará un archivo especializado con las tarjetas procesadas que deberá suministrarle el Servicio Nacional de Inscripción, respecto de todos y cada uno de los hechos, actos, referencias o anotaciones relativas al registro del estado civil que le sean comunicados a dicho Servicio, o que éste origine. El Gobierno determinará el formato, contenido y periodicidad de la información que debe suministrar el Servicio Nacional de Inscripción a la Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro.
