Artículo único. El Gobierno nacional asegura a cada uno de los Estados de la Union la forma de Gobierno, republicano, en los términos establecidos en la Constitución federal, e impedirá toda tentativa de invasion contra cualquiera de ellos, así como también toda violencia domestica contra el Gobierno de cualquier Estado, siempre que en este último caso la intervencion del Gobierno nacional sea solicitada por la Lejislatura del Estado o por el Poder Ejecutivo, en receso de ésta.
