Artículo primero. La Reserva Nacional de la Sierra "La Macarena", en la Intendencia Nacional del Meta, tiene por objeto conservar todas las riquezas naturales que en ella se encuentran, para hacer de este territorio fuente de estudio e investigación en el campo de las ciencias naturales.
