El personal docente policial con título universitario, técnico o tecnológico según el caso y que a la vigencia del presente decreto se hallare escalafonado como docente policial en cualquiera de las categorías contempladas en el Decreto 400 del 5 de marzo de 1992, podrá solicitar su homologación ante el Director General de la Policía Nacional, según su categoría así: Profesor Policial de Quinta Categoría a Instructor. Profesor Policial de Cuarta Categoría a Profesor Auxiliar. Profesor Policial de Tercera Categoría a Profesor Asistente. Profesor Policial de Segunda Categoría a Profesor Asociado.
