Adiciónase el siguiente inciso al numeral 3 del artículo 279 del Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema financiero.

"No obstante, si como consecuencia de un proceso de fusión, cesión de activos, pasivos y contratos, adquisición u organización se hace necesario, el objeto del Banco se ampliará a las operaciones de la entidad que además de éste participe en el respectivo proceso, si a ello hay lugar. En consecuencia podrá realizar operaciones de redescuento para financiar la industria nacional."
