El Congreso de Colombia recuerda con gratitud y respeto el nombre del Ilustrísimo señor doctor José Joaquín Isaza, Obispo de Medellín; se asocia a los pueblos que él evangelizó en la obra de honrar su memoria y venerar su recuerdo; y excita a la juventud a que, estudiando las doctrinas y los hechos del ilustre pontífice, saque de su estudio ejemplos de amor a la patria, a la prosperidad nacional y a la difusión de las ciencias.
