° Los Notarios y Registradores estarán sometidos a la inmediata vigilancia del Ministerio de Justicia y de las oficinas fiscales que determine el Gobierno. Las faltas que cometan serán castigadas disciplinariamente por el mismo Ministerio, con multas hasta de $ 500.00, suspensión hasta por treinta (30) días y destitución, según la gravedad de la falta, y todo sin perjuicio de las sanciones penales en que incurra. De cada visita, que deberá avisarse con tres (3) días de anticipación al público se asentará el acta correspondiente en un libro destinado a ello, que se guardará en la Notaria u Oficina de Registro. En el acta se indicará la fecha, el estado en que el funcionario visitador halló la oficina, las providencias por él dictadas, etc., y se firmará por dicho funcionario y el visitado. De las actas se sacará una copia que será legajada y custodiada en el archivo de la oficina del funcionario visitador.
