Art. 1.° Establece un Monte Pío Militar con los descuentos que se pagan en los sueldos, sobresueldos y pensiones pagaderos por el Tesoro Nacional a los Generales, Jefes y Oficiales del Ejército y Marina de Guerra en servicio activo en los términos y del modo que se expresan en el artículo siguiente.
