El tiempo que duren en el ejercicio de sus funciones los oficiales que se nombre en el Servicio Territorial de acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el artículo 164 no será susceptible de que se compute doble según lo establecido en el artículo 109 de este Estatuto ni se tendrá en cuenta para efectos de ascenso o sueldo de retiro, salvo la excepción contemplada en el artículo 166.
