El Ejército Nacional constará en tiempo de paz hasta de trescientos cincuenta Oficiales en actividad y seis mil individuos de tropa, que se distribuirán en las armas de infantería, caballería, artillería, ingenieros y tren.

Los trescientos cincuenta Oficiales se distribuirán así; diez Generales, diez y ocho Coroneles, veintidós Tenientes Coroneles, treinta y cuatro Mayores, sesenta Capitanes, ciento tres Tenientes y ciento tres Subtenientes; suma, trescientos cincuenta Oficiales.
