La Superintendencia habrá de ceñirse en el cumplimiento de sus funciones a las prescripciones establecidas para ella por medio del Decreto 3172 de 1968 y a las demás normas legales que regulen sus objetivos y a estos estatutos. Por consiguiente, no podrá desarrollar actividades o ejecutar actos distintos a los allí previstos, ni destinar cualquier parte de sus bienes o recursos para fines diferentes de los contemplados en la ley o en estos estatutos.
