Un busto en bronce sobre pedestal de mármol del Señor General Carlos Vélez Danies, será erigido por la Nación en el parque de la Independencia de la ciudad de Cartagena, con esta inscripción:

"El Congreso de Colombia de 1923 al maestro del Trabajo don Carlos Vélez Danies."
