Promoción. La promoción de la salud, en el caso específico de la Infección por el Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH) y las otras Enfermedades de Transmisión Sexual (ETS), implicará el respeto por la autodeterminación de las personas en cuanto a sus hábitos y conductas sexuales.
