Article 18

Cumplido El Término Probatorio, Si El Funcionario Instructor No Fuere Competente Por Razón De La Cuantía, Remitirá El Expediente Al Juez Que Corresponda

Cumplido el término probatorio, si el funcionario instructor no fuere competente por razón de la cuantía, remitirá el expediente al juez que corresponda. Dentro de las cuarenta y ocho (48) horas contadas desde el recibo del proceso, el juez señalará fecha para la audiencia, la cual deberá verificarse dentro de los cinco (5) días siguientes. En la audiencia podrá el sindicado o su defensor hacer uso de la palabra por una sola vez y presentar por escrito sus alegaciones.

Parágrafo

El fallo correspondiente deberá pronunciarse dentro de los dos (2) días siguientes al de la audiencia.
