Explotación a Cielo Abierto . La explotación de las minas a cielo abierto debe realizarse con base en un diseño previo, en el que se consideren las características geomecánicas del macizo rocoso y los criterios técnicos, como altura y talud de banco, pendiente, ancho de rampas, talud de trabajo y talud final de explotación, ancho mínimo de bermas de seguridad, ubicación y diseño de escombreras y pilas de mineral, condiciones de tránsito de equipos y trabajadores, de modo que, se brinde la estabilidad del terreno, así como la readecuación y revegetalización del talud final.
