° Una vez asignada la participación básica conforme a lo dispuesto en el artículo precedente, los municipios participarán en la diferencia de que trata el numeral 2 del artículo 26 de la Ley 60 de 1993, conforme a los criterios señalados en el artículo 24 de la misma ley. Para tal efecto se aplicarán al nuevo municipio los mismos indicadores del municipio del cual se hubiere segregado, o el promedio si se hubiere segregado de varios, hasta tanto los indicadores del nuevo municipio no sean reportados por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE).
