De acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el artículo 18 de la ley 82 de 1916, la formación de la estadística del ramo de Correos se hará separadamente de la de los demás ramos del servicio público para los fines a que el artículo citado se refiere. Con este objeto, en la Administración General de Correos habrá un Departamento especial con el personal y sueldos mensuales siguientes: un Jefe con $ 80; un oficial con $ 50 y un portero escribiente con $ 30.
