Plazo del giro directo . El Ministerio de Vivienda, Ciudad y Territorio, a solicitud de las personas prestadoras de los servicios públicos de acueducto, alcantarillado y/o aseo, podrá autorizar el giro directo de los recursos del Sistema General de Participaciones para Agua Potable y Saneamiento Básico por concepto de subsidios por un año (doce (12) periodos, cuando la facturación sea mensual, o seis (6) periodos, cuando la facturación sea bimestral), sin que se sobrepase la anualidad de la vigencia fiscal en la cual se aprobó el giro directo.
