El registro de las defunciones se hará en el momento de solicitar la expedición de la boleta de inhumación, de que trata artículo 9º de la Ley 66 de 1916 , sin la cual no podrá llevarse a cabo la inhumación. Dicha boleta solo se expedirá después de que haya sido extendida el acta respectiva en el registro del estado civil.
