A partir del 1° de enero de 1964, en atención a que el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario asumió las funciones que venía cumpliendo la División de Investigaciones Agropecuarias, queda suprimida esta dependencia, y se declara insubsistente todo el personal de planta y de trabajadores incluidos en planilla, que se encontraban a su servicio.
