El Instituto Geográfico Militar y Catastral vigilará y reglamentará la conservación de todos los puntos fijos catastrales y establecerá un control periódico de estos puntos con intervalos de 5 a 15 años, según convenga. Este control se establecerá de acuerdo con las secciones Departamentales de Catastro.
