Art. 3.° La Administración del Museo, con apoyo e intervención del respectivo Ministerio activara la recolección de los productos naturales del país y de los objetos relativos a la Historia Patria desde sus primitivos tiempos, a fin de evitar la progresiva desaparición de estos últimos, y de hacer conocer las riquezas nacionales y sus aplicaciones.
